Welcome to WIN Atlanta! WIN stands for Women in Networking. Atlanta is our home town. WIN Atlanta was co-founded by Katharine Rutherford and Terrie Tschetter in the spring of 2016. We discussed the group concept in the fall of 2015. Katharine had founded a similar group in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2007. Hence, WIN Atlanta was born, and our first lunch was held in May 2016.
What is WIN Atlanta?
We are a non-fee, non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of women. We call ourselves, “WINsters” affectionately. Our group consists of women of all ages, races, different backgrounds and this brings a great energy to our meeting. At the time this is being penned, our youngest member is 14-years old. Our oldest member is … hold on! I am not going to tell you that information. LOL …
WIN Atlanta is a closed group. All new members must be introduced by an existing member and approved by our Founding Members.
Our monthly luncheons occur the last Thursday of every month at various venues in the greater Atlanta area. We rotate our meetings from ITP (Inside the Perimeter) to OTP (Outside the Perimeter). Our lunch meetings start promptly at 11:30 AM.
We also host “Plus Ones” where we meet up along with a WIN guest. Our past Plus Ones have included a Tour of the Fox Theatre, the Spirit of Oakland Halloween Tour at Oakland Cemetery, a Mardi Gras potluck, summer picnics and “Plus Pups”, where our WINsters brought their furry kids to play.
WIN Atlanta is proud to support Wellspring Living. They are an organization that supports girls, ages 12–17 who are victims of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking (DMST) and adult women, ages 18–30 to survive and thrive. Their vision aligns with our purpose of growth experiences through shared experiences and transformation. Visit Wellspring Living’s website to find out more about the organization.
